yup it’s a dedicated PC with nothing else on it, reinstalled again (3rd try, now we have success!), something must be going wrong with the software install.
probably a permissions issue with a file.

For those that have updated, can you see if you are seeing the following things? I’ve been speaking with the EV concierge to see if a few things are a result of the update or not.
1. Rain sense wipers no longer working when the intermittent wiper setting is selected.
2. Toggle switch on the front right of the steering wheel between the audio source and DIC buttons no longer cycles through favorites but advances to the next station outside of the favorites when pushed up or down.
3. On the DIC, on the right side of the speedometer, the power meter used to show the number in red or green depending on if you were using or generating power. Now it stays white and just the power bolt changes color.

Any feedback is appreciated.
Toggle the Rain Sense setting: Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience > Rain Sense > Enable/Disable. Some updates may disable flags but not change the toggle.

Good to know. I am still worried about the "but you didn't use proper GM tool which voids your warrany" if something goes wrong. I just ordered a official MDI2 GM device so will see how that goes.
Certainly don't blame you. When using the VX tool(s) it still generates a warranty claim code within Techline Connect.. but who knows if that matters.

I'm also not sure if a dealer would care if you used the Bosch MDI2 or not. If (big if -- this is just a hypothetical possibility) a failed software update could be resolved by running VWP (which is supposed to be covered under warranty and done upon request) -- it should be a non-issue.

I feel like we are between a rock and a hard place. Dealers refuse to do the software updates, and we don’t have the ability to do it. I have carefully read the instructions, have everything I need to do it within their directions including being able to capture warranty claim codes (which by the way is how the dealers get paid for doing the update; it’s not actually about the warranty if something goes wrong) but it is still useful to show I did it by the book.

in the small chance that something bricks, I will need to work with the dealer and Chevy to get it rectified, which will create an interesting conversation.

It looks promising as an update, especially if it adds the camera with the turn signal.
Curious to have your feedback after your stint in the service, it can really improve the experience.

Update on trying to do it myself, first module I tried to reprogram software did everything fine, until it tried to write the updated module at which point it failed. Re-tried repeatedly after that with no success reprogramming the module.

Voltage was stable 13.6V with a full jump pack connected.

Tried a different computer, same problem. So with no leveling suspension controller limped the car to the local dealership. Will see what they say / charge.

So caution.

the laptop was hardwired right no wireless?

Find a dealer that will do it? Might entail a drive but if that's what it takes. Chevy dealers are everywhere, I've got at least four within a half hour. GMC is more rare, only one.

For good or bad we are about to find out.

And there is the fact that the dealer can refuse to service it if they are concerned about liability. Will know later today how this plays out.

doing the update on your own is very risky and feel sorry for tiaank that he DIY didn't go smoothly. I had an issue where the parking brake wouldn't release causing me to reprogram the brake module twice and it finally released (I freaked out for sure)

Now everytime I tried to update modules on my wifes vistiq, SPS2 keeps telling me there is a Vin mismatch between what the car reports and what was registered but I confirmed a million times and there is no mismatch. With the risk of bricking a module, I did not force the override option and just left hers alone.

My ’24 Silverado RST is currently in the shop, and I’m being repeatedly told that it’s already ‘up to date.’ However, they can’t find any update for it. I’ve shared YouTube videos and these forums, but no update has been provided. Any idea on how to handle the situation?
What city and state are you located in? I'm scheduled to take mine in next week for updates at Sir Walter Chevrolet in Raleigh NC. Hopefully they know what they are doing.

Mine is at Hiester in Fuquay. They are at least fixing the truck. I heard Sir Raleigh has refused software updates too. Cary did it for me but it was part of a 2 week drive module replacement. But it did give me sidewinder.

I bought it at Chevy in Wake forest which was amazing - but haven’t tried their service.

After trying to do this update myself I understand their reluctance though. The computer happily cleared the module without being able to be sure it could write back the new programming!! I mean come on that’s crazy!!

I am in Colorado. I have the truck at Fowler Chevy in Broomfield. This is the second time there in a week to resolve several warranty issues.
