Welcome to the forum @steely, how else are you hoping to spec your WT? (color options, equipment, etc.)

Yea I can't wait either. So far I have been 2/2 in getting difficult to find cars. Got the new ford bronco and just recently got the ioniq 5. Hopefully I get lucky with the Silverado

Nice, I have the Mach-E but my dealership is so bad I'd trade out to either a kia or hyundai if they weren't out of their minds with mark up

I was lucky and got my Hyundai at msrp. The 2 years of free charging at electrify america is really nice too

Welcome @steely! Is the Silverado WT going to be your first EV?

How are you finding the Ioniq 5 @cmiller? I've heard a lot of good things about it. Particularly about how spacious the interior is.

I What issues have you been having with your dealership @JRT?

I like it. The interior is spacious. The frunk is a joke, but overall it's a nice car. I always buy the base model vehicles and it came with some nice basic features like heated seats which means I use the heat less and save range. Has some basic self driving feature on the base too. The 2 years of free charging at electrify America stations is awesome. Also the 0-60 is quicker than what Hyundai says on their site with mid 4's. Funny when a far more expensive car pulls up next to me and they are surprised at how quick a Hyundai is 😂.

Me too. I wish I had mine right NOW. I would be saving nearly $400 per month if I had the EV pickup already.

I want to get a WT, very minimal options, in blue or white. Unfortunately I didn't get on the reservation list until the end of April, so I'm afraid that I may not even get one in 2023. :(
Welcome, my fellow WT aspirant. (y) My dealer is indicating early 2025 arrival, so I have plenty of time to kill to spec mine out. When ever any options are released. LOL!

RST price is way too salty for my taste, so WT it is for me. Hopefully I could choose at least a few option without the price jumping another 10K+, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. And if I could only choose one option, it would probably have to be the 400 mile range battery. I don't need self driving capabilities and such, but would like the extended range for sure. Leather and cooled seats would also be nice.

2023??? Try some time late-2025 or maybe even 2026. Haha! I placed my reservation right after the tool opened and my dealer is saying early-2025 for me.

Unless something has changed, of course, but I've been under the impression that RST will arrive first and then WT at some point after that. Haven't kept up with the news about it too well lately.

From what I’ve seen and read the WT’s coming out in 2023 are for fleet customers only and will have the 400 mile battery pack. The first edition RST trucks with all the bells and whistles for $105k will then come in the fall of 2023 for regular customers who have tons of money.

Then orders will start coming in summer 2024 as a model year 2025 for WTs and RSTs and any other trim they might announce.

if you go to the reservation page for WTs and RSTs it says “available summer 2024”.

Well 2025 is probably a no-go for me. That's three more years. I'll be driving something else between now and then. F-150 Lightning trucks will be hitting dealerships in a couple of weeks. GM needs to get with it.
lets hope with all these factories that GM is opening that we will get our trucks faster. Just read an article where they are opening up 4 new battery plants so that they have control over batteries instead of relying on other countries. Apparently they joined w/ LG. They have a plant coming online this year, then another next year and so on.

The local ford dealership is just terrible service department. Luckily I've been trouble free, but it has taken 6 months to get set up for sw updates and recalls.
I called my dealership today to inquire about this; specifically that fleet buyers will get trucks first, then the few six-figure buyers, then the rest of us who are waiting on WTs maybe in a few years. They said GM hasn't told them any specifics, but they expect more specifics in July or August. They also said they really doubt that normal sold orders will be put on the back burner to fleet customers, because GM (and the dealers) make more profit per sale on normal sold orders. Therefore it's assumed that GM will actually want to push out orders to normal customers at the same time.

I noticed that Ford officially stated that shipment does not coincide directly with time and date of reservation/order, but rather it will have to do with trim and specific options selected. Basically, the easier the truck is to build, the faster the buyer will see it. This has also been my direct experience with Jeep/Ram pickups.

So, I'm going to continue to hold out hope that a guy like me wanting a lightly optioned WT trim will be able to snag one at some point in 2023 until I get concrete word from GM stating otherwise.

Wouldn't make much sense releasing the WT just for for fleet and not the general public. Not a good idea to piss off your main customer base.
If you go to Chevrolet Silverado EV | All-Electric Truck | GM Fleet it shows the release in spring of 2023 for fleet.

And if you go to Reserve a First-Ever Silverado EV | Chevrolet

it shows summer 2024 for WTs and RSTs.

The first editions showed fall 2023 in the few minutes they were available to reserve.

The lead engineer and one other guy have repeated this information in interviews I’ve seen on YouTube.

Althoug, I expect them to be delayed even further with the current lockdowns in China.
