Lucid has Saudi money atm... They do have some ways to go but I don't think it's going to die any time soon.

Also Lucid has a large number of Ex Tesla Employees so I don't think Musk likes that.

After seeing how he's running twitter I'm not going to believe much of what Musk has to say anymore. I think Tesla and SpaceX have succeeded in spite of him, not because of him.

As of late, I can not take King Elon's verbal or written utterances seriously. Meanwhile, I'm cheering Lucid on to find success in the market but as in the case of any new vehicle manufacturer, it's going to be a struggle.

Does anybody remember how Elon made his first millions? Paypal. He followed that up with SpaceX and Tesla. Is he super eccentric and unfiltered? Absolutely. That said, people without Paypal, SpaceX and Tesla on their resume loudly criticizing the man makes those people sound pretty gosh darn foolish...

Very similar to the guy sitting on the couch next to me loudly proclaiming that he could do a better job at quarterback than the guy currently hired to do so by the Dallas Cowboys. Forgive me if I express some doubts as to that person's credibility... 🤪

He kinda got acquisitioned into paypal, but valid point anyways. He’s a risk taker, risk takers push things forward and tend to make money doing it. There’s no reward in bitching about things, rather than doing. Of course he has haters, that’s an easy way to check the temperature, he’s probably over the target. Tesla design sucks, but their technology doesn’t, SpaceX is just cool.

Welcome to the forum. That's what I was thinking as well. Tesla's days are numbered, just about every major automaker is entering the EV market and startups like Lucid have some decent momentum.

Some say it's that very approach that has been part of him having success in other businesses, I guess we'll see how things unfold in the coming months, it hasn't been that long.

While not amazing guidance, Lucid did exceed their guidance for 2022, so they're not dead yet. Just not Tesla Model Y volume. They do have an SUV coming, be interesting to see if we as a market are really done with Sedans. I miss the two door/four door days but apparently everyone wants an SUV.

I doubt if Lordstown will survive 2023.

Lucid, Fisker, Geely, Rivian will probably make it through 2023 but it will be a very challenging year for them.

All car manufacturers are headed for a tough year or two.

Hopefully Lightning, CT, R1T, Hummer, production will increase to keep pace with declining ICE truck sales.
