The difference is the Silverado EV WT is ugly and the Rivian isn't.

The Rivian is a Luxury truck and the WT is a work truck. Rivian isn't designed to be a work truck and the WT isn't designed to look pretty. No fake grills please.

P.S., if anyone claims that a Rivian can be a work truck, put a single speck of dust in the bed and see if the retractable bed cover works. 😂 LOL

I basically agree that the R1T is not strictly designed to be a work truck but is fully capable of being used as one. There are a lot of short bed $70-90k ICE trucks that are too pretty to be used as a work truck.

I have used my R1T to move furniture, haul logs, haul lumber, camp, pick up groceries and a bit of off roading.

I don’t recommend the R1T for daily work truck duties because the better choice would be a cheaper less overall capable WT that will sustain a lot of beating. But keep in mind that a significant number of daily beating is done in $70-90k ICE trucks.

Don't disagree.
I am not really a fan of the RST design either.. I'm hoping seeing the final production version will change my mind.
My point is that you can design something different from a standard truck and still make a beautiful design.
In my opinion the Rivian is a much better looking truck than the Silverado EV RST.

HAHA, my son turned on "Propulsion Noise" on my wifes MME. Creates an odd V-8ish growl in the cabin when you press the accelerator. I did a double take the first time I drove after he turned it on.

As far as broadcasting the sound outside of the vehicle, engine noises are probably better low speed pedestrian warnings than some of the vague buzzing sounds that other EV's emit. At least it sounds like a car.

Yeah the 1st column was a reservation for 1st edition RST which was sold out and the second column had the reservation for a WT

My reservation was within minutes of opening. You had 2 choices, Launch RST or not. I did not choose the Launch RST and my reservation also says 'Reservation Vehicle: SILVERADO EV WT OR RST'

That makes sense, WT or RST is the fallback choice for those who didn’t want or after the launch edition ran out.

I didn't want a really early Silverado EV. I waited a while to make a reservation and I won't mind waiting while the early adaptors get all the bugs out.
