That black bumper isn't growing on me. It is smooth, so why not paint it? Usually on WT models the black bumpers are textured so I understand not painting that. They could still leave the black "grille" and lack of light bar to differentiate between higher trim levels.

I agree. If they just chose to paint the front between the grill and bumper it would look so much better. Too much black plastic up front!
I'm hoping Chevy releases an LT model that fits somewhere between the WT and Trail Boss.

For the purposes of it being a "work truck" I don't mind the way they did the front at all. I'm going to assume most of these are going to be white or black.

I wonder when GM will open the order banks?

If 2023 is for RST and fleet WT then maybe the order banks for none fleet may open in mid to late summer.

As promised White is the color to expect!

There are many different levels of "preproduction". These models are built on the assembly line vs hand assembly, but are still not for customer sale. So they are technically "building" them on the line but are preproduction.

As "preproduction", are they just calibrating the assembly line tooling? Any idea from this point, when the first pre-order applicants will be called into the dealer for order customization?

I agree that it will probably be a good bit of a wait until customization ordering begins. 2023 is WT fleet and RST deliveries.

If you made it into the RST reservations for 2023 then maybe ordering will begin in a few months.

Nooooo, stop with all the fake stuff, no grills or louvers that aren't functional. It looks different to "normal" trucks, but that isn't a bad thing. (Note: This opinion comes from an R1T owner, so take it for what it's worth.)
