I'd have to think this model has automatic adaptive air suspension. Maybe it has some other stuff too to help with towing.

Our spy photographers spotted a new Silverado EV mule with some significant updates. This is the first test vehicle we've spotted with production headlights, and while this mule features the Work Truck's signature gray fascia, its also wearing alloy wheels and running boards, suggesting this may be a step up from the base WT.
And, of course, it's doing some pretty serious towing. The Cougar RV trailer in question is approximately 30-feet long, and weighs somewhere between 8,000-10,000 lbs. Obviously, we can't know how much this impacts the Silverado EV's range, but our photographer reported that the truck pulled away "with ease."

Yep that’s a smaller trailer. An ICE full size today could tow that same trailer 400 miles and pull into a truck stop designed to fill gas with a trailer in less then 10 min. I don’t think 150 mile range, unhooking a trailer to charge for an hour is going to cut it for 90% of people. It will tow a boat to the lake near by or tow a trailer around town, people with campers tend to go a lot further.

Yep we will see, I agree going to local campgrounds on state roads is more realistic. I bet 200 no problem with a smaller trailer at 55. Especially in the hummer with the roof off you would see more, hear more and smell more, almost like a motorcycle. Even still I did 400 days regularly when motorcycle camping.

Nice looking rig, the side profile shows a more raked back speedy kind of look compared to a regular truck that pairs well with a trailer. Also good to see the business end with the hitch - pretty standard as expected, and also the back squat look minimal. That’s probably a good 600lb tongue weight or something and I don’t see a weight distribution hitch. Impressive.

On range it’s all about how much you drive 55+ - no different for ICE.

Agreed. Is that a small hitch receiver? Looks like 1-1/4". Also, the small outside mirrors would not be optimum for towing much of a rig.

It does look small, but I can’t believe they wouldn’t put a 2x2 on there, must be the comparison to the stuff around. Good point on the mirrors, they’d better offer extended, or maybe they’ll have some cool camera tricks so we can save the aero? Also I like how the hitch is integrated and not just bolted on - good aero there.

Personally I like the WT front better, especially for towing.

8 lug wheels. love it! they could have done a better job leveling the trailer with that adjustable hitch though... looks low in the front
