Possibly my new EV baby

In May I placed my order after I dumped my Rivian reservation when I found out I can’t flat tow it. I was told by Chevy that normal gas Silverado’s can be flat towed but will this truck be capable of it being all electrified and cool?
I truly hope so as it’s the best looking EV truck out there.
Loved all the Rivian tech but just couldn’t get past the front end.
Hopefully someone in this forum can answer that question but the dealership did say it can be flat towed.

I also just looked at my order number and it shows the WT as my
reservation. Is that because it’s the first one to come out? Can I change it to the RST in the future when the date gets closer?
Thank you.

Pretty sure the reservation says "RST or WT" for everybody, regardless of what they chose when they clicked on the link.

RST First Edition is said to be coming out first, but there have also been rumors about WTs coming out for fleet customers at an early stage. I reserved mine a few minutes after the tool opened and my dealer told to be excited for early-2025 delivery for my WT.

So yeah... Go figure. Nobody knows for sure what is actually coming out and when they are coming out.

Welcome to the forum @Nolo1! I haven't seen or heard anything about the Silverado EV and flat towing. Right now I'm not sure if there are any EVs that are able to be flat towed. Do you do a lot of travelling with a RV that you need flat towing?
I think flat tow won’t work, If the motors are hooked directly to the the wheels which I think they are in most EVs. The power generated has to go somewhere. I’ve heard some people got reservations for RST first editions, mine says RST or WT

Yes, lots of RV’ing so need a flat tow truck.
If you look at your email you'll see something like this

Which is unfortunate if absolutely true as I don't want either. $100k is a ton of money, especially for a truck. Anyhow my date (I reserved very late) is Summer 2024 (which is good timing for me actually) so I'm hoping by then they open up other trims.
