I wish Chevy made a Pet/ Dog mode that would keep the hvac on, put message on screen with inside temp and send message to mychevy app or phone if hvac fails to meet set point or battery is too low. Tesla has it, Ford is working on one. No rumors about Silverado EV having in the future. Love to be able to take my dog and leave him in the vehicle with hvac when shopping.

Honestly I really don’t like how teslas look, but dog mode is something that really makes me consider them. But I want a truck and absolutely can’t stand how the cyber truck looks, so I know I won’t buy one. So I really hope someone at GM is working on this function.

I ordered both the Silverado and Cybertruck and plan to get them both. Like the shape of Cybertruck more and certainly has more features I like then Silverado. But as a second vehicle the Silverado should be good.

Dog mode should not be offered or even considered. A better option is to keep your animals at home. Unless you are taking a pet to the pet store or the vet animals have no place in vehicles

People like you is what going shopping is a pain. Having to deal with people's dogs out in public stores. Leaving animals in the car with the engine running a the A/C on is wasteful and pathetic. People complain about high gas prices then try to justify leaving cars running at idle. It's complete hypocrisy.
My dogs would disagree 😂 they like going all over the island, including the Costco parking lot. I love leaving the car locked and ac running on the wife’s RAV4 prime.
Leaving dogs in ICE car means no indication if AC fails. Incident happened where AC failed and dog died as owner did not know. Dog helps prevent that.

What features you like better in the cyber truck?
Stainless steel body, 6.5 foot bed, dog mode, 500 mile range, sentry mode, dashcam recording, hopefully hail proof body and glass to a point of course, not dealing with dealers. Better acceleration, quad motor option, self leveling suspension when parked great for camping are a bonus but not really important to me.

Don't get me wrong I like Silverados framed windows and lower trim options pricing better then Tesla. 20,000 lb option is better then Cybertruck but I am not important to me as I will not tow anything anyway, maybe a bike carrier.

Both will have four wheel steering and midgate (on Silverado an option unfortunately on high trim levels only). Real world range I am guessing will be more similar and similarly useful on both. Styling is personal but the cybertruck has grown on me. Styling not too important for me anayway so don't really matter.

Well that would make things more interesting. Unfortunately with Tesla there are so many unknowns. I like everything about the Silverado EV so far and I feel confident it will exist as I see it now. I can’t get over some major stumbling blocks with Tesla. Simple things like physical controls, parts availability and ability to repair myself.

Even if the cyber truck has a midgate, I just can’t get over its looks. Which is funny because I read the same thing about the Silverado EV elsewhere on the internet

different strokes for different folks

You can buy Tesla parts now and they are surprisingly cheaper also Tesla published a complete repair manual online for free now. My old Chevy the repair manual was like $600, so I never got it. As for physical controls the Chevy is reducing them as well as expensive to build. Just like a blackberry people swore by the physical keyboard is a must, now nobody has one a life goes on. Having a bigger screen more important then physical keyboard.

What features you like better in the cyber truck?
Sort of offtopic since the CT has the same dam problem, but FWIW, I would really like an EV pickup that has one of either
  • a solid metal, preferably ferrous, roof, or
  • a good mountpoint (like the ones eliminated by the Silverado EV's sail panels) for a screwdriver HF antenna (something like a Tarheel or Scorpion).
and some reasonably-accessible for a good chassis ground. Cmon, Chevy, Ford, Tesla, you are building a rolling 150KWH battery with a 240V at ?? amp outlet that could run a legal-limit amp. It is every ham radio operator's Field day/POTA fantasy. Give us someplace (or at least, don't take away all the good places) to mount antennas!

There are dozens of us! Dozens!

ETA: clarified amp, fixed typo
