GM CEO, Marry Barra was at Factory Zero checking out this Silverado EV.
Maybe it was the $74k+ WT with no midgate, maybe it was no CarPlay only Google BS, maybe it was the $80 a month for subscriptions, maybe it was Mary then saying $135 a month for subscriptions, maybe it was Ford raising prices & crappy towing, maybe it was announcing cylindrical cells in potted pack after so much marketing around pouch cells and modular, maybe it’s my friends $70k Suburaban taking a whole year to be built, maybe I’m bored. GM better have something good soon cause it sure looks like Tesla is about to launch the Cybertruck built with all their latest tech entirely in-house down in Texas.

Thanks for the link, @BahamaTodd. If GM successfully pulls off their unique “everybody in” EV transition, Gerald Johnson deserves much of the credit. He and his manufacturing team have completed whole-plant extreme EV makeovers at Detroit-Hamtramck and CAMI, with another in-progress at Orion, plus major adaptations at Spring Hill and Ramos Arizpe. As well, converting GM ICE casting facilities, etc to EV part and sub-assembly production.
