I think there was a technicality in the text seen at the bottom of the vid teasing the Sierra EV. It's Launching as only a Denali no other models.

I'm a GMC fan. Had 3 of them now, and they've all be great. I need to see that Denali looks like overall before I sign up. I'm not a huge fan of that front end from just that one shot.

I'm really into the Silverado EV for the features, not the EV portion. Adjustable 4 wheel air suspension, 4 wheel steering. Midgate and modular tailgate and front trunk. I would buy it today if it was ICE powered. ASSUMING the Sierra has the same chassis and features, and doesn't look like hammered dog poo, I'll probably get the Sierra.

Launching as a Denali only its probably going to be more expensive than the RST 1st edition. I usually prefer GMC but I'll stick with the Silverado.

Thanks for clearing that up, wasn't 100% if it was just a Denali at launch.

I hope the Sierra EV loses the Avalanche look. If it does, I will likely get the Sierra assuming it isn't outrageously expensive.

Depends on what options are different to be honest. Another $5k or so maybe. Current price difference between a High Country Silverado and a Denali is around $3k. Figure it might be a similar difference on the EV front. I haven't done a deep dive to see what options difference is between the Denali has that the High Country.

To be clear, I'm not opposed to driving a Chevrolet, I just prefer the styling and look of the GMC. Up until now, it's the same underpinnings, so I'm just buying a trim difference.

Just priced both with 4wd, crew cab, and the 6.2L. High Country vs Denali. HC was $70,630. Denali was $72,340. That was with about as many options as I could throw at them in each configurator online. Might be a way to eek out a bit more cost on each, but I won't find thousands in price difference I don't think. I would expect that same $2-3k difference to exist in the EV as well on both top optioned vehicles.

I wouldn't bet your house on it. It is used to stiffen the body structure. The Sierra will almost certainly be the same configuration with no split between the bed and cab, so it will use this area to stiffen things up. Hummer has it too, to a lesser extent, but the Silverado and Sierra are longer (wheelbase and bed) so it is more exaggerated.

I imagine there's going to be quite a few similarities with the Silverado. The front end will be different but I'm betting that the overall profile is going to be pretty much the same.

I agree. I've been a fan of the GMC grill styling over the Chevy for the last few models. The displayed Sierra EV front end looks bland. By contrast, the Silverado EV front styling is very appealing to me.
