Ford CEO Jim Farley shared on Twitter that the Lightning Extended Range models will have a new 0-60 time of under 4 seconds.

As one would expect Ford will not stand still while GM finally brings the Silverado EV to market. Nor will the other EV truck makers stand still.

GM will be competitive but will not be a market leader. They are currently playing catch up.

Who knows, maybe GM is under rating its performance numbers. They did this with the Camaro and when Ford gave the Mustang a higher HP to pass it, they then announced the more "accurate" performance numbers that were still above the Mustang. So they can still tweak numbers until actual production starts next year.
