OK yeah that's right up on the photo marquee. Looks like maybe what they did is the base unit is the Sierra version - it's got the mild upward rake. The Silverado gets the extra attachment to mate to the more extreme rake. Could be perspective in this render but appears the back might have a forward rake too - which might help with aero. I just asked for any pictures of the proto they can send, but maybe this is all just in CAD right now.

I saw that too. I assume thats the base concept. I did request a bunch of options. Windows, roof rack, etc. Hoping to see a real-world design on the bed of a truck, before I purchase.

 

From previous correspondence their answer seems to be "same options as for our other trucks" - basically it's just the same thing, price too. Problem is their site isn't too good, hard to find info on this other than a bunch of pictures of it on trucks. I think they said the camper version too will be available.

 

What are the chances one of these companies figures out a way to reposition the rear view mirror cam? With the topper, it looks to obstruct the existing camera entirely

 

Yeah there’s missed opportunities with the mirror cam. Ideally I’d like configurable views where you can pick which cam to use. Top bed is blocked? Use the tail gate. The latest version does have some configuration, now you can change how wide angle it is.

But this comes from a Bosch subsystem, I suspect it has its own dedicated camera, probably with specific requirements and calibrations and isn’t compatible with the build in GM system. Probably just a drop in system so no fancy integration possible.
