The Silverado EV is currently on display at the Chicago Auto Show (Feb. 12-21). Is anyone in the area planning on going to see it?
Welcome to the forum @BBG523. Did you already place a reservation for one?So I may take a ride down to the auto show to see first hand- But if they have it walled off( which it looks like) it may not be worth the trip.
Two things I see from the pics-
I see a hint of a Regen paddle on the back left side steering wheel- Coming from a Bolt this is one of the best added features to use as part of One Pedal Driving.
I don't see an L mode-or Full Regen mode- Hoping it's somewhere in the new software layout as it would be disappointing not to have control of the Regen level.
VW-ID4 missed out big on that.
I had the same thoughts with regards to L mode and one pedal driving, it’s one of the best features of the Bolt. I was looking at a Bolt EUV for my folks and noticed that it’s L mode appears to be a separate button from the “shifter”. Hopefully the Silverado has a L mode button hiding somewhere. So I may take a ride down to the auto show to see first hand- But if they have it walled off( which it looks like) it may not be worth the trip.

Yes - placed order same day as the introduction. Can't waitWelcome to the forum @BBG523. Did you already place a reservation for one?
Was the Lightning on order till something better comes along (i.e. Silverado?)Yes - placed order same day as the introduction. Can't wait- Dropped the F150 Lighting order.
Also have a 2020 Bolt EV premier- Leased the 2017 Bolt when they first came out and purchased my current 2020,- just waiting on my turn for Battery replacement-
Both Bolts have been rock solid cars-
My wife drives a Model Y and before that car we had a Model X.
I do also have an order in for an R1T- So 2023 should be an interesting year depending on Production schedules. Which ever on get here first![]()
