I like that the option is there at all. It lets you have it any way you like. The first picture they gave us of the front 3/4 angle is the worst. It actually looks pretty good in every other angle. I'm sure they will sell a lot of these, even with the confusing model lineup (why have RWD for one trim level?????).
SS will be available Fall 23 and 1LT Winter 24 (Winter means Jan-March 24).I think they have sold out ($100 reservations), I checked the site earlier and you can no longer choose which trim level you want. Last night at launch I was able to choose any of the 4 trims. Of course trim levels 2 and 3 will be delivered in 2023 where trim levels 1 (base) and 4 (SS) are slated for late 2024 just like the Silverado RST FE.
Time will tell. 🤷♂️
I stand corrected. Fall 2023 but its a MY24. My bad.SS will be available Fall 23 and 1LT Winter 24 (Winter means Jan-March 24).
Choice is great, I was just looking at it from a cost/complexity standpoint. Would for sure be easier and cheaper to make it in FWD or AWD, and probably eliminate a trim level too. It is also confusing for the regular consumer. As enthusiasts we will have no problems doing the research and figuring it all out, but someone walking into a dealership to buy their first EV might find it a bit overwhelming.I like that the option is there at all. It lets you have it any way you like.
That makes it much more appealing to the masses who don't want vehicles to stand out to much and the Blazer hasn't really been a contender for off-roading since 93.I am disappointed by the way it looks. Pretty much looks like everything out there. There is nothing there that looks like how a blazer should look like. Hell, at least Ford fully thought out the bronco while those that developed the blazer pretty much said "lets just do what everyone else is doing"
Such a shame because the bronco came back very successful. Hell, even the scout is coming back as an EV. Unfortunately, soccer mom SUV's are the new norm. That makes it much more appealing to the masses who don't want vehicles to stand out to much and the Blazer hasn't really been a contender for off-roading since 93.
GM has larger trucks and pickups for that.
The Blazer here is much more focused on sport and performance with features and design.
