Adaptive suspension means it reads the road using radar and pulling each tire up for bumps and pushing it down for dips. I think you mean that it automatically adjusts the height you’ve selected depending on load and speed.
The term adaptive suspension has been applied to different levels of complexity. There are and were adaptive suspensions that hydraulically raised and lowered the wheels to aid ride or handling. This was actually referred to as active suspension (banned in F1). Air suspensions don't react fast enough to do that. In the SEV case, it applies to changing the suspension height and shock absorber valving but the both are largely determined by your settings. In the ZR2 race truck, the adaptive shock absorbers can vary the shock valving continuously and is computer controlled rather than by preset modes in settings.
