Yeah the EV trucks have the pre-2011 bolt pattern, or the same pattern that was used on the Suburban 3500. It is odd that they keep two versions around.

I would think that the wider bolt pattern can handle more torque and load, hence the HD bolt pattern.

Yes, allows for a bigger wheel bearing.
