I like it! I would love a Suburban EV!

Here's what the all-electric Chevrolet Suburban SUV should look like when it arrives in 2025, clearly with a lot of Silverado EV pickup design influence. The final production version should hopefully not look as cookie cutter and get some unique design. For now I think this does well at showing what to expect. What does everyone think?
Absolutely buy, currently driving a 2021 Chrysler Pinnacle PHEV. A Suburban EV would be perfect for me.

Yes and Yes. The Trim level of my Pacifica Hybrid is the Pinnacle. I have a reservation for the FIRST EDITION RST

Looks good, the top edge of the liftgate looks too sharp though. (Yes, I know this isn't real)

I think a Tahoe would probably sell better. I'm sure eventually there will be an EV of both though.

We started with a Suburban for our family hauler and have progressively been getting smaller and smaller. We went Suburban (2500) -> Atlas -> ID.4 currently. It was the best option for us for an EV family vehicle, but it is really just to hold us over until a better, slightly bigger option is available. We still have the Suburban but will be selling it shortly (an 8.1 can burn through 39 gallons really quickly, but the reality is we just don't need it anymore). Even a Tahoe would be bigger than we really "need". An EV sized between an Equinox and Traverse would be perfect.

Nice. Will the Silverado EV be replacing it? If so, have you checked what your trade-in value is?

Yes, electric vehicles work at below freezing temperatures. Just set yourself up for success and temper your expectations for what is reasonable.

i feel like there's a reason they're not doing full-size SUVs first or even talking about them... i imagine that reason is their profit margin is much better on a pickup truck that's similar in price to an SUV (no 3rd row, less sheetmetal, no hatch, no rear HVAC, etc).

Full size SUV drivers are willing to spend a lot on their vehicle (look at starting MSRP) but since automakers are getting similar money for pickups now- they'd much rather you buy a crew cab High Country than a Suburban LTZ.

There is probably also some truth to that but they sell a lot more Silverado, and Equinox than Suburban (and Tahoe). That is a much larger reason to focus on those segments first.
